Water Babies Programs

Swim Team Group Descriptions
M & M Team:
The M & M Team designed for those who are newer to the sport of swimming. This competitive team allows for the participants to learn stroke and speed technique practiced through stroke specific drills. Participants in this group are working towards the end of session M & M Meet, which is designed for swimmers in both of our M & M teams. The M & M Meet allows swimmers a fun opportunity to show off what they have learned and accomplished over the session. Our M & M team is divided into two categories, the Mini Cubs and the Mighty Wolves.
Mini Cubs:
Swimmers on the Mini Cubs Team have a basic understanding of Freestyle and Backstroke, and are able to complete a length of each in our 25 meter lap pool. During the season, swimmers on the Mini Cub Team will be developing their Freestyle and Backstroke further, and will be introduced to the other competitive strokes of Butterfly and Breaststroke. Other focuses in this group are proper lane etiquette, expectations on competition day, diving, and turns.
Mighty Wolves:
Swimmers on the Mighty Wolves Team have a strong understanding of Freestyle and Backstroke, and can demonstrate either Butterfly or Breaststroke. During the swim test each participant will have to complete a legal length of three out of the four competitive strokes and swim a 50 Freestyle in under 1 minute and 15 seconds in our 25 meter lap pool. During the season, swimmers on the Mighty Wolves Team will be developing all four competitive strokes further, and will be introduced to speed training, diving, and turns. Other focuses in this group are proper lane etiquette, expectations on competition day, understanding workouts, how to read the pace clock.
